Exposition. Berty SKUBER: Intercolumie
22 septembre 1998 - 01 novembre 1998
[ Since the beginning of the 1980s, Berty Skuber has been known primarily for her works on paper. In the last two years, however, from 1996 to the present, she has also discovered that slats of wood can be excellent supports for all the various elements with which she works most constantly: words, symbols, minuscule objects, and drawings. These groups of slats are shown horizontally, linked by pairs of cords from which they are also suspended. A number these objects hang between the trees of the Museum’s garden, where each of them turns into a fabric of signsmobile and intermittent, or partly transparentthat establishes a place and a life of its own in physical, environmental space.
